How it Started

We are Amber Lee and Mark Howe and after coming across an amazing historic building that was available and full of character along with the ideal location, we took the plunge and opened the Cheese Press in March 2022.

Over the past few years I’d become more interested in cheese specifically the amazing array of British cheeses on offer. I studied with both the Academy of Cheese and the Guild of Fine Food to learn more about my favourite subject!

We decided that Richmond was the perfect location for a dedicated cheese shop! We sell a carefully curated selection of local Dales cheeses along with quality artisan British and Continental offerings.

Our aim is to share our knowledge and enthusiasm with you the customer.

Given that we’re such a new business we have lots of exciting plans for the future so watch this space!
